Green Vacations: 4 Simple and Exciting Tips

Whether you’re traveling to the next state or traveling to faraway countries, there are plenty of ways that you can stay eco-friendly. In some cases, it’s a simple matter of practicing the same good habits you would practice at home. In other cases, you can help make your vacation greener by being very selective in how you purchase plane tickets or car rentals. Regardless of what you choose, you will be able rest easy in the knowledge that you are helping to preserve the earth and having fun at the same time.

There are a wide variety of simple ways you can enjoy the best green vacations. For example, one of the best things you can do is pack light. Not only will it make your luggage much easier to handle, but it will save on space and materials as well. After all, the less you pack, the less need you have for disposable item or plastic bags. You’ll also be able to save on energy as well; the taxi or car rental you ride in will consume considerably less energy if there are only a few bags in the trunk rather than an immense amount of them weighing the vehicle down.

A great way to cut down on your carbon footprint is to arrange your travel plans in an eco-friendly way. This can mean everything from car pooling to sticking to bikes during your vacation instead of driving. Public forms of transportation are also a great way to cut down on gas emissions. If you’re concerned about your upcoming flight or car trip, however, there are other options you can choose for keeping your carbon footprint down. This involves you purchasing an offset to compensate for the amount of emission your plane or rental car will create during longer vacations.

One of the keys to enjoying some of the best green vacations is to reuse and recycle as much as possible. For example, are you using a temporary, pay per use cell phone while on the road? Before your vacation begins, do a bit of research and learn which cell phone brands have options for recycling. Many manufacturers allow you to mail the temporary cell phone back to their headquarters, where it can be used again or broken down to create new ones. This rule still applies for damaged cell phones too. You can also make the most of your green vacation by consuming less energy. This is more than simply turning off the lights when you’re not using them. If you’re in the car, go easy on the heating and air conditioning. This will save you both on gas and on energy. Be sure to turn off any cell phones, laptops, or ipods as well. Not only does this save you on batteries, but it cuts down on wasted energy as well.

    @mrgalleria, So in answer to your ridiculous first question, OF CAUSE I would prefer water to oil.
    Courtesy the internet, the means are in place to go viral with working designs, making them impossible to suppress, but this would mean you are putting it in the public domain and will not be able to profit or recoupe your costs.
    So your car that runs on NOTHING but water, when will you be sending me the blueprints?
    I’ll even be happy to pay
    I’ll just wait shall I?

    @mrgalleria, Your a selfish, childish fool of an old man, unable or unwilling to put his predudices and hate aside to discuss something of common mutual benefit. Clearly you missed to true teachings of jesus.
    All of us can always learn something from other people, i live by that, do you?
    If I’m so wrong and your so right AND your selfless!, why are there not tens of millions of Meyer units on the road and the oil companies are out of business?
    Could it be selfish people like you?

  3. 1BustedMyth on September 3rd, 2011 4:55 pm

    @mrgalleria, I’m talking 100% Hydrogen, NOT 5-20% normal steel and aluminium react with oxygen!
    HHO-combustion- water fapour: what part of that can’t you grasp?
    what next are you going to accuse me of being a secret agent for oil companies??
    Funny isn’t it that you do not have a car that runs on nothing but water, yet you want to try to pick a fight with me for being interested in that very thing!
    I REFUSE TO HAVE A NON RELEVANT CHILDISH FIGHT WITH YOU ON THIS MANS VIDEO…GET LOST

  4. 1BustedMyth on September 3rd, 2011 5:40 pm

    @mrgalleria, If you know so much, why is it that your car uses gasolene still? why is that?
    Selfish Arrogant bastard
    There is far more at stake here then your bruised ego

  5. 1BustedMyth on September 3rd, 2011 5:54 pm

    @mrgalleria, I just read your other comments, I was hopefull you had calmed down, so it seems all you want is a fight, I take it we have argued over something previously… probably religion? on this video I have polite, respectfull and purely factual, but you can’t seem to put your biasts to one side, honestly what hope do we have as a race people when you are unable to get beyond what is clearly a hate issue for me.
    Don’t bother messaging me, have no interest in your childish anger

    @mrgalleria, Most inventors fail to do basic maths and chemistry calculations. It will save you a great deal of money and heartache.
    Energy is never destroyed or created, your just moving it from one place or form to another.
    “Embedded Energy” is what was put in during manufactoring to make the material: e.g: a piece of aluminium is basicly solidified electricity, it uses that much to make it.

    @mrgalleria, What we all seek (well except big oil companies) is a fully sustainable, nett gain, ideally with no environmental impact at all process, saddly this is a very tall order, but if nature can do it, we should be able to copy.
    Burning Hydrogen with air is not clean, it produces Nitric Oxides, which are cancer causing, but its still better for now then war for oil, civilian deaths and smog.

    @mrgalleria, I just get upset seeing people waste time and money, reinventing the wheel.
    I can build you a car that runs on water in under a week, it will run and drive like any other car, but sadly it won’t last and there are several tricks I could use to make it apear to be self sustaining. “If” I was a scam artist, had no morels I could easily make a living pulling fruads in this area and sadly I have caught so called inventors doing just that before.

    @mrgalleria
    Energy injection in the range of Ultraviolet frequencies is of great interest. Electromagnetic energy in this range seems to have effects on water melecules worth investigation.

  10. 1BustedMyth on September 3rd, 2011 8:54 pm

    @mrgalleria, I agree, however there are/were many others working in the area.
    Harmonic ocilation of the water molecule in the ultrasonic range seems to be one possible path.
    The available energy is in there, the secret is getting it out efficiently.
    Nature has done a wonderfull job wrapping up Hydrgen and oxygen to make a substance we can put fire out with, now we are trying to EFFICIENTLY unwrap it.
    Harmonic ocilation or catalysts seems the best path….for now

    Stan, and the people who knew him, summed it up. High frequency, high voltage, low amperage.

  12. mrgalleria on September 3rd, 2011 9:43 pm

    @1BustedMyth
    Why am I not surprised at your claim that you did serious damage to engines?

  13. mrgalleria on September 3rd, 2011 10:14 pm

    @1BustedMyth
    BS, BS, and more BS.
    Expensive? My devices were made largely from re-cycled items.
    My current high frequency high voltage self-resonating primary circuit is made from a discarded flyback transformer, a single transistor, two resisters, scrap wires, etc. My enameled wire comes from discarded starters.

  14. mrgalleria on September 3rd, 2011 10:57 pm

    @1BustedMyth
    I suggested one very cheap, very constructive improvement.
    You suggested the impossible.
    Good work, fellow enthusiast.

    Jerk or smart ass? Please make up your mind.

    @1BustedMyth
    yayayaya. No videos of original proof. yayayaya.
    I got the videos, with the photos of original works.
    And original inventions.

    @1BustedMyth
    HAHAHAHAHA.
    You know the saying-

  18. toyu17 on September 4th, 2011 12:44 am

    @HHOhybridBuilder thank you! it have to do with the ignition timer.it amaze that they are not that many people DRILLING you with question.ppl would rather be slave to this fake cover up system that hide these things from the public. thank you hho builder and if i have anymore question you can guarantee i’ll be asking you.

  19. HHOhybridBuilder on September 4th, 2011 1:31 am

    @toyu17 As explained on the video ( HHO Kits-Fuel Technology Part 3 ) a TIMING RETARD MODULE is needed to delay the ignition. I set up mine at ZERO degree after top dead center. How would you see the timing? BY USING A TIMING LIGHT( Strobe Light ). What else do you want me to tell you? You wanted me to teach you? I already did. I mentioned everything on the video and it’s up to you to study it. View it carefully and try to tweak on it. I think you are a smart guy and you can do it. GOOD LUCK.

  20. toyu17 on September 4th, 2011 1:52 am

    @HHOhybridBuilder why a dry cell? you’re not suppose to do it with a wet cell?

  21. dahduke on September 4th, 2011 2:26 am

    @toyu17 if you look at the way i build my dry cells you will see i have 1/8 gaskets in between each plate so it can not leak

  22. dahduke on September 4th, 2011 3:16 am

    very nice, Scarecrow did this years ago so its nothing new.

  23. HHOhybridBuilder on September 4th, 2011 4:08 am

    @toyu17 It was uploaded by hhopowergas HHO Kits-Fuel Technology Part 3 go see this video and everything is being revealed

  24. toyu17 on September 4th, 2011 4:47 am

    @HHOhybridBuilder and, how do you go about doing that?

  25. HHOhybridBuilder on September 4th, 2011 5:04 am

    @toyu17 No backfire because ignition timing was set up correctly.
